Where Did the USAID Billions Sent to Greece Go?

Where Did the USAID Billions Sent to Greece Go?

As President Trump’s administration audits and investigates USAID’s past financial activities, shocking revelations have emerged regarding the vast sums of money sent to Greece under the Biden administration. According to reports, Greece received approximately $2.5 billion in USAID funds. The critical question now is: Who received this money, and where did it go?

How Much Money Did Greece Receive?

According to Brussels Signal and other sources, USAID provided substantial funding to Greece during the Biden administration. This funding was allegedly allocated for purposes such as economic development, energy projects, media, civil society, and LGBTQI initiatives.

Where Did the Money Go?

Despite the large sum, there is little transparency on how the funds were spent. Several recipients included:

  • NGOs and Civil Society Groups: Millions were allegedly funneled into non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to “promote democracy and social justice.” However, critics claim these funds were used to influence local media and shape public opinion.
  • Media Outlets: USAID reportedly allocated funds to various media organizations, raising concerns about whether these funds were used to push specific narratives.
  • Energy Projects: While some money was earmarked for energy security, it remains unclear how much of it directly benefited Greek citizens.
  • LGBTQI Rights Initiatives: According to Greek Reporter, Elon Musk personally ordered the cancellation of further funding for LGBTQI programs, questioning the necessity of foreign aid in this sector.

Who Will Justify These Expenditures?

With USAID under investigation, the individuals and organizations that received these funds will likely be called to justify their spending. The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by Elon Musk, has vowed to trace every dollar.

Is This Money Laundering?

Trump administration officials argue that USAID operated as a money-laundering mechanism under the Biden presidency, disguising ideological influence as development aid. If this claim is proven, Greece’s political and media landscape will face a major scandal.

Final Thoughts

The Greek people deserve to know how this money was used. Those who received USAID funds will soon have to explain whether these billions truly benefited Greece—or if they were part of a larger scheme.
